A briefe description of wysedom and folly in gouernance.
VVhere
wysedome beareth sayle,
In shyp of common wealth,
Lyke are they not to fayle,
Lawe, loue, good hope and health,
Iustyce shall there auayle,
All wrong to ouerthrowe,
Mendyng both hygh and lowe.
In shyp of common wealth,
Lyke are they not to fayle,
Lawe, loue, good hope and health,
Iustyce shall there auayle,
All wrong to ouerthrowe,
Mendyng both hygh and lowe.
In lyke wyse and maner,
Of folly to defyne,
Ryght may no rule beare there,
Debate so doth enclyne:
And peace can there be none,
Ye may therof be sure:
Nothyng but payne and mone.
Euer doo fooles procure.
Of folly to defyne,
Ryght may no rule beare there,
Debate so doth enclyne:
And peace can there be none,
Ye may therof be sure:
Nothyng but payne and mone.
Euer doo fooles procure.
