Matron of arts, and to the british youth
Thou shining pillar of religious truth,
Sprung from primæval kings and saints divine,
Thy sacred ear, illustrious dame! incline,
Whilst filial duty wings my youthful lays,
And prompts me forward, studious of thy praise.
