The baseball season opened officially yesterday and the weather was certainly well suited for it. Everyone from President Nixon to the local enthusiasts above got in on the action. Mr. Nixon opened the Washington-New York game, in which the Yankees slaughtered the hapless Senators, 8 to 0. In local IM action, Kappa Sigma took on Phi Gamma Delta in a Madison Bowl opener. Kappa Sig triumphed, 11 to 1. Later on, Phi Delt whitewashed Kappa Alpha, 4 to 0, in a hard-fought contest.
