Tried, and Coming forth as Gold. A Short HYMN, To Assist the Pauses of a SELF-EXAMINATION.

The Trial of a Soul,

Believing.

My Soul, Dost thou a Precious Christ
Prize above all, & Place on High?
And on His Gospel-way to Rest,
Rest, and with Purest Hopes rely!

127

Repenting.

My Soul, The Death of Every Sin
Dost thou as thy own Life pursue!
And welcome any Bitter Thing
That will more Bitter Sin Subdue?

Loving.

My Soul, To Know and Serve thy God,
To all things here dost thou prefer?
And as a Brother Seek the Good
Of all that His dear Children are?

Coming into the Covenant of GOD

LORD, Sav'd by Grace, how Rich & Free!
My Quick'ned Soul comes at thy call.
I to Thy COVENANT agree;
JESUS, My Head, Fulfill it all!
