Report on the Naming of the Jay Y. Gillenwater Simulator Training Center

The President reported that the renovated simulator training center, located in the West Complex of the University Hospital, near the Urology Department, is to be named The Jay Y. Gillenwater Simulator Training Center. Dr. Gillenwater was Chair of the Department of Urology when he retired in 1995, as well as the Hovey S. Dabney Professor of Urology and the John E. Cole Professor in Urology. Among other honors and positions, he was the President of the American Foundation of Urological Diseases and the American Urological Association, and chair and trustee of the National Kidney Foundation. He is well known as a teacher and mentor.
