Eleven O'clock.
Eleven O'clock.
Who goes about the House when allAre sleeping but the Clock,
And no one hears it, all alone,
Still saying tick-a-tock?
It is not Gretchen goes about,
She's snoring in her Bed;
It's not the Hound that goes about
He never lifts his Head;
She's snoring in her Bed;
It's not the Hound that goes about
He never lifts his Head;
It is the Wind that goes about,
And sighs around the House,
And never wakes the toothless Hound,
Or stops the gnawing Mouse.
And sighs around the House,
And never wakes the toothless Hound,
Or stops the gnawing Mouse.
