HYMN FOR HOLY INNOCENTS' DAY.
All hail! ye Martyr Flowers,
Born with the blush of day,
Blossoms for Eden's bowers,
To grace Lord Jesu's way!
Born with the blush of day,
Blossoms for Eden's bowers,
To grace Lord Jesu's way!
Young firstlings for the shrine,
Lambs of a tender fold,
Around the altar shine,
And palmy garlands hold.
Lambs of a tender fold,
Around the altar shine,
And palmy garlands hold.
Thee, Jesu! let us laud,
Child of a mother's love.
With Him the Father, God,
And that Eternal Dove.
Child of a mother's love.
With Him the Father, God,
And that Eternal Dove.
