SONG.

In blooming scenes, where fragrance lives,
How kind is nature! yet how coy!
To none, but tranquil hearts, she gives,
The garden's pure, ambrosial joy.
So her choice flowers their charms withold,
From the fierce eye of burning day;
But to still night their sweets unfold,
And with her peaceful zephyrs play.
