The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
3340.
[What doth thy Gnostic faith avail]
If a brother...be naked, and destitute of, &c.
—ii. 15, 16.
What doth thy Gnostic faith avail,
Who seest thy brother in distress,
With ruthless heart insensible,
And bidd'st the poor depart in peace,
Yet dost not his distress relieve,
But words without assistance give!
