GALBRAITH, John Kenneth (1908-):
Canadian/American, "Keynesian" (see John Maynard KEYNES) economist, advisor to the American Democratic Party and American Ambassador to India, in 1961. He shaped the thoughts of many people about modern society through such books as The Affluent Society (1958) and The New Industrial State (1967).
