“RERUM DEUS.”
O God, th' enduring might of things,
Abiding in Thyself unmoved,
Who measurest out each time and tide
By changing lights from day to day;
Abiding in Thyself unmoved,
Who measurest out each time and tide
By changing lights from day to day;
Lord, grant it clear at eventide
That life may never fade, nor fall,
But everlasting brightness dawn
At once—true meed of holy death.
That life may never fade, nor fall,
But everlasting brightness dawn
At once—true meed of holy death.
Grant it, O Father of all Love,
And Thou, co-equal only Son,
Who reignest through all ages with
The Holy Ghost the Comforter. Amen.
And Thou, co-equal only Son,
Who reignest through all ages with
The Holy Ghost the Comforter. Amen.
