TO Mrs. M***,
On the Recovery of her Voice.
Hark! the lost accents touch the gladden'd ear,The voice of candour, and of mirth I hear:
Words that delight without the aid of art,
And to each breast a secret charm impart.
From darkness thus returns Aurora's ray,
Diffusing light, and all the world is gay.
