Four New Cavaliers

Virginia inked four
scholarship players, three of
whom averaged over 25 points
per game in their senior high
school season. Big (6-7+)
Lanny Stahurski of Swissvale,

Pa. has impressive statistics in a
25 point scoring average,
nabbing 23 rebounds per
contest. Even more amazing is
6-6, 188 pound Bob McCurdy
who has scored over 1,000
career points, including thirty a
game in his last season. Hailing
from Deerpark, N.Y., McCurdy
also averaged twenty rebounds
a game.

Eric, Pa. produced Bob McKeag,
a 6-5, 215 performer who managed
405 points and 332 rebounds in his
senior campaign. Described as "an
outstanding athlete," McKeag was a
national Pass, Punt, Kick champ at
the age of nine. Al Drummond of
Waverly, N.Y. is one of the more
outstanding prospects, sporting a
25.2 average in addition to hauling
down 240 rebounds despite his
relatively diminutive 6-2 height.
Drummond hit a phenomenal 59
percent of his floor shots and 84%
of his shots from the foul line.
