An Epitaphe vppon the death of the right wise and worthy Matron the Lady Alse Avenon.

If that a modest Matrones misse,
should moned be with cryes:
Then shreek and cry for her alone,
that here engraued lyes.
If for to wayle the want and losse,
of suche a Matrone rare
It be a fault, for her alone
your cryes and shreeches spare.
