When the Great God, descended from on high;
To take the vesture of Mortality:
When the bless'd Jesus, was the Angels Theme;
Whose Carols well-com'd Him, to Bethlehem:
Unto Augustus, it seem'd to be known;
For name of Lord, he durst no longer own.
