18. Cæsar Sacrificing, One of the Beasts, wanted an Heart.

For many Laurel wreaths, the Prince of Rome,
The Gods presented, with an Hecatomb.
The wise Haruspex, searching ev'ry Part;
Found out one Beast quite destitute of Heart.
The Sacrifice, was counted Ominous:
No Heart? the Gods will not be served thus.
