The following EPIGRAM on the two Betas (or B and B) written Extempore.
Old B, the valiant cock, stout, stood the fight,Young B, his valiant chick, swift, led the flight:
The hardy sire, for bravery's renown'd,
The son, with equal praise, for prudence crown'd;
Th' old cock a thousand deaths by standing brav'd,
His chick a thousand lives by running sav'd.
Thus equal laurels equal heroes grace,
One won the battle, t'other won the race.
