Red paint was splashed on the front steps of Naval Science building Maury Hall early yesterday morning. The defacement apparently protested the continuing Vietnam War. Buildings and Grounds staff worked for several hours to clean the damaged area. The University Security Dept. is presently investigating the event, according to Dept. Chief Rea Houchens. Council has circulated a telegram to President Nixon to express student disapproval of U.S. Vietnam involvement.
