Washington Hall stands neglected after the Purchasing Department moved in February to their present location in Madison Hall. The move was initiated by Comptroller Vincent Shea so that all administrative offices would be in a central location. The Washington Literary Society used the building from 1849 for their oratorical meetings. What will be the fate of Washington Hall? Nobody seems to know.
