A certain damsel possessed with a spirit, &c.

The nations dark who long beguiled,
Till silenced by that Hebrew child
And banish'd from his Delphic fane,
Returns to mock the world again,
The curious fools that still presume
And pry into the things to come,
The oracles of God despise,
But trust in hell's ambiguous lies.
