5. IMITATION OF SHAKSPEARE.

There is a honey-moon in works of Taste,
Which gazed on for awhile, grows full and splendid;
But in the wane is wasting to obscurity,
Shorn of its beams by wanton criticism,
Or hourly fading through satiety.
