14. Upon a Cynick, indiscreetly abstinent.

A stubborn, and grave Cynick, set his best
Side outwards, by this carriage at a Feast.
None could perswade him, Radishes to Eat;
Vertue abhors, such kinde of luscious Meat.
Casting about his dull, unpleasant Eye;
He chanc'd fine tender Onions to espie:
He snaps up those. Though Radishes a'nt Good;
It seems that Onions, are a vertuous Food.
