| CHAPTER XIX. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
2270.
[The only sinless Man and just]
In the garden a new sepulchre, wherein was, &c.
—xix. 41.
The only sinless Man and just
He cannot mix with common dust,
But born of a pure virgin's womb,
Must rise out of a virgin-tomb;
The tomb is new where Christ is laid,
New is the heart for Jesus made,
And all His purity receives,
While God in man for ever lives.
