SONNET.

Ȝe laureat scholers of the Sisters nyne,
That on the hautie forkit pernass hill
from Sacred source Soucks Science maist deuyne,
Giwe dew commend heir to the Authors skill,
Quhois guid desert my sempill speitche may spill.
Gif I the sam presum vold to recyt,
I langage laik, Bot ȝit hes feruent vill
Hiche till extoll his leirnit muse perfyt.
Thocht ackuart ȝoile beir him at dispyt,
Quhois coustum ay agains the best is bent,
Ȝit sall the sueitnes of his sound indyt,
Imployed in vertew, prudent spreits content,
Quhom from his ȝouth I knaw vith bonteis blist.
Lat vthers praise his volum as thay list.
