And now I am no more in the world, but, &c.

While Jesus doth to heaven ascend,
He asks His Father to defend
The little flock He leaves below;

As man; as God confers the grace
His own eternal birth to show,
The constant need of prayer to' explain,
Through which we sure support obtain
In every conflict and distress;
And bless'd with final victory,
Holy, and true, and good, to Thee
Ascribe the everlasting praise.
