and Briscoe Baldwin, lawyers from Staunton, and their related family letters. There
are very
few references to slavery, e.g.,
the June 6, 1820, sale of a slave and
letters of April 10 and May 2, 1823, from P. H.
Leuba to Miss Mary Jane Lewis
discussing the health of slaves.
