And live by faith in Jesu's blood,
And Jesu's tempers show:
And if the sons of night
Usurp the Christian name,
They still abhor the sons of light,
In every age the same.

That hatred of the carnal mind
Against Thy church and Thee:
But warn'd by Thee our Lord,
We suffer all their ill,
Who every day deny Thy word,
And every day fulfil.
