MEADOWHAMSTEAD FAIR
Now dust gets laid by days of rain& leaves gin leave the tree
When labour catches breath again
& fields look bare & blea
Ere autumn ends & winter comes
A fair toils leisure crowns
Renownd for cakes made full o' plumbs
& fun for droving clowns
