CHAPTER XII. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
2026.
[From the tribunal of Thy cross]
This He said, signifying what death He, &c.
—xii. 33.
From the tribunal of Thy cross
Satan and sin Thou dost condemn,
But vindicate Thy people's cause,
And merit saving grace for them:
Thy cross to us a gracious throne,
The instrument of good we find,
The source of every blessing own,
And life procured for all mankind.
