CHAPTER IX. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
1931.
[The sudden faith Thou hast bestow'd]
And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him.
—ix. 38.
The sudden faith Thou hast bestow'd,
Saviour, I must in words express,
Adore the true eternal God,
And Thee my God, my Lord confess:
For this alone I Thee entreat,
This only good on earth desire,
To live adoring at Thy feet,
And meekly at Thy feet expire.
