[The sinner blind is always poor]

The neighbours . . . said, Is not this he that, &c. —ix. 8.

The sinner blind is always poor,
And begging waits at mercy's door:
He waits when now restored to sight
A suppliant still for farther light,
Humbly resolved through life to sit
A beggar at his Saviour's feet.
