Now the Jews' feast of tabernacles was at hand.

With joyful exultation
Thine Israel we
Observe to Thee
The God of our salvation;
From sin's Egyptian bondage
Who didst Thine own deliver,

Thy pardoning grace,
And love, that lives for ever.
