GOOD NIGHT.

Good night! good night! our feast is ended,
By young and old with smiles attended;
Where Wit and Worth and Beauty blended,
To speed the hours with dance and song.
Beauty's smile
Free from guile,
Wit that shone
Wounding none:
And manly Worth and Woman true,
Good night! and joy go home with you.
Good night! and may your minstrel's numbers
Still echo on amid your slumbers,
To spell-bind every care that cumbers
The lover's heart, the mother's breast.
Beauty, Mirth,
Wit and Worth

Fall to sleep
Calm and deep,
Nor rouse, till rosy Morrow call,
“Awake, and joy go with you all!”
