Daughter of the humid eye,
Weeping over misery,
Heaven marks thy ev'ry doing,
While thou art the path pursuing
That doth lead to scenes of bliss,
Past our knowledge while in this.

Test of faith art thou, in all
Who embrace the gospel's call;
Fruit of that most precious tree
Which from hunger's power doth free;
Faith and Hope resplendent shine,
But thour't the brightest of the trine.
