NOTE BY THE EDITOR.
This extract from a letter of my friendHis brother sent me, with the manuscripts.
He had glanced through them hurriedly, he said,
Took little interest in them, wondered much
At such a waste of time, and made me free
To use them as I chose. Not being sure

To print them, as on trial, and invoke
The public verdict. I think well of them:
His brother thinks them worthless,—which is right?
