Senate Minority Leader

Senator Scott, who is the Senate minority
leader, has been a Senator from Pennsylvania
since 1958. He was elected minority leader in
1969 following the death of Everett Dirksen.
Senator Scott is a member of the Senate
Committees on Commerce. Judiciary, Rules,
and Small Business. He is also a member of the
Minority Policy Committee.

When questioned about his appointment to
the Board of Visitors, Senator Scott stated that
"I can think of no higher honor than to be
called to serve on the Board of Visitors of the
University. I welcome the opportunity to do
so."
