ELECTION OF MR. COLGATE W. DARDEN, JR. AS PRESIDENT EMERITUS

The motion was made and seconded by Visitors Blanton, Fenwick, Lantor, and Montague, who had
served on the Board while Mr. Darden was President, that the following resolution be adopted:

RESOLVED by the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia
that Mr. Colgate W. Darden, Jr., President of the University of Virginia from 1947 to 1959, be
and he is hereby elected President Emeritus of the University of Virginia.
