Why, why tell thy loverBliss he never must enjoy?
Why, why undeceive him,
And give all his hopes the lie?

O, why, while Fancy, raptur'd, slumbers,‘Chloris, Chloris,’ all the theme,
Why, why wouldst thou, cruel,
Wake thy lover from his dream?
