LINES TO MISS S. ------

At the Illumination in Norwich, on 16th June, 1814.

Louisa haste, above, beneath,
The festive garland twine;
Not Flora's hand could bend the wreath,
More skilfully than thine.

And when at close of lingering day,
Their blaze the tapers pour;
O! seat thee midst those garlands gay,
Thyself the fairest flower.
