Since first our Grannum cropt the fatal tree,
No spot of earth is from pollution free,
Briers and thorns infest the richest ground,
And tares amongst the choicest wheat are found;
The fruitful Nile destructive monsters breeds,
And ev'n Bellositum pruduces weeds.
