CHAPTER XXII. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
1531.
[When the sacramental cup]
This cup is the new testament in My blood, &c.
—xxii. 20.
When the sacramental cup
We faithfully receive,
Glad partakers of our hope,
By Jesu's death we live:
Feel the covenant blood applied,
And testify from sin set free,
Saviour of the world, He died
A sacrifice for me.
