XII. Julian's Tale.

Julian!—to woe untimely born,
A mother wept thy natal morn.
The mother, who that infant bore,
Was Pedro's sister, Ellenor,
The loveliest lady Spain had seen,
Save fair Maria, Pedro's Queen.
