Still there remains a scribbling Race,
Bastard Apostles, with the Face
Of holy Paul, but not the heart,
Who can, in Jest, play Judas' Part.
They swear he knew but half his Trade,
Or he more Money wou'd have made,

When he his gracious Master sold
For Silver, when he might have Gold.
They market better, better know
His Value, than to sell him so;
And, while Gain rolls her golden Tide,
Can in their gilded Chariots ride.
