And one of them, when he saw that he was, &c. —xvii. 15.

Numbers frequent Thy house of prayer,
And wait Thy loving-kindness there,
Lift up their voice, and sue for grace,
But silent in the Giver's praise,
A thousand blessings they receive,
Yet never to Thy glory live.
A grateful soul cannot defer
Redeeming mercy to declare,
He must his thankful love express,
His Saviour before men confess,
And witnessing his sins forgiven,
Give glory to the God of heaven.
