[Make Thy heavenly wisdom mine]

He suffered no man to go in, save Peter, &c. —viii. 51.

Make Thy heavenly wisdom mine,
By signs infallible,
Teach me, Lord, the works Divine
To publish, or conceal;
When before the multitude
Thy gracious wonders to repeat,
When the people to exclude,
And when the saints admit.
