DISPENSATIONALISM:

a type of Biblical interpretation found among CHRISTIANS which divides GOD'S dealings with humans into "times" or "dispensations" characterized by unique opportunities and responsibilities. This view characterized the PLYMOUTH BRETHREN and was popularized in the Scofield Reference Bible published in 1910 and is very popular among FUNDAMENTALISTS.
