45. On Mans Plea.

Mans Plea to Man, is, That he never more
Will begge, and that he never begg'd before:
Mans Plea to God, is, That he did obtaine
A former Suit, and therefore sues againe.
How good a God we serue; that when we sue,
Makes his old gifts th'examples of his new!
