HENRY GEORGE DAVIES

Among the Roanokers who deserve mention in the
city's history is Henry George Davies, a former member

and for a number
of years was engaged in
the general merchandise

was elected Councilman
from Melrose Ward, and

and above reproach and he made hosts of warm personal
friends while serving as a city law maker.

In 1884 he was married to Miss M. A. Follansbee, of
Londonderry, New Hampshire, and they have four
children as follows: George H., Herbert A., Ralph E.,
