CHAPTER IV. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
1215.
[Jesus more than conqueror]
Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit.
—iv. 14.
Jesus more than conqueror
Of His thrice battled foe,
Fill'd with His own Spirit's power
Doth power on us bestow;
By His conquering Spirit led
We daily put the fiend to flight,
Foil through our victorious Head,
And triumph in His might.
