CHAPTER III. The poetical works of John and Charles Wesley | ||
1204.
[The Father's delight Shall surely be ours]
Thou art My beloved Son: in Thee I, &c.
—iii. 22.
The Father's delight Shall surely be ours
Who taste in His right The heavenly powers,
Who saved by the merit Of Jesus's blood
Lay claim to the Spirit And fulness of God.
Who taste in His right The heavenly powers,
Who saved by the merit Of Jesus's blood
Lay claim to the Spirit And fulness of God.
The grace of our Head His members receive,
The Spirit is shed On all that believe,
With Jesus the favour Of God we regain,
And join'd to our Saviour Eternally reign.
The Spirit is shed On all that believe,
With Jesus the favour Of God we regain,
And join'd to our Saviour Eternally reign.
